Spanish shipyard Astilleros Gondan has celebrated the launching of the final Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) of a six-Bessel order for Edda Wind.

The vessel, identified with the number C504 and designed by Salt Ship Design, offers various advanced and sustainable features. With a length of 88.3m and a beam of 19.7m, the new building C504 is equipped with zero-emission technology, can accommodate 120 people, and is fitted with the most modern and automated equipment. Notable features include a 3D offset offshore crane, an offset offshore gangway with a 30m outreach, and an integrated lift with a 26-person capacity, enabling complex operations in offshore wind farm maintenance.

Gondan believes that the series of six vessels built for Edda Wind consolidates the shipyard as a leader in the construction of specialised vessels for the offshore renewable energy sector, underlining the importance of innovation and sustainability in today’s maritime industry.
