Provider of specialised marine services Goltens Worldwidehas signed a new distribution agreement with Denmark-headquartered Marine Fluid Technology (MFT) covering MFT’s SEA-Mate Blending-on-Board (BOB) system, SEA-Mate Filter system and other SEA-Mate products across maritime markets in Singapore, Indonesia, India, the Philippines, and the Middle East including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar.
The SEA-Mate BOB system is a technology designed for ship owners to recycle lubrication oil, enhancing engine efficiency, sustainability and reducing operating costs, enabling vessel operators to blend cylinder lubrication oil onboard. This provides results in optimised lubrication, extended engine component life, and significant reductions in oil consumption and emissions – critical factors in today’s sustainability-driven maritime industry. The combination of the BOB and filter system provides oil cleanliness, eliminating the need for purifiers, resulting in reduction of lube oil waste products. The effect provides energy savings and cost efficiency. In modern engines, the oil quality has become extra important, as the oil from the sump tank is also used as hydraulic oil for critical engine components, such as fuel oil valves.
Through this partnership, Goltens aims to strengthen its position as a solutions provider for shipowners and operators seeking to improve fuel efficiency and reduce environmental impact. The agreement aligns with Goltens’ commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that enhance vessel performance and sustainability.
Sandeep Seth, CEO Goltens Worldwide, said: “Teaming up with MFT to bring SEA-Mate solutions to our customers across these key regions is a privilege. The SEA-Mate Blending-on-Board system is a game-changer for shipowners looking to optimise operations and reduce costs. This agreement further enables us to offer even greater value to our clients as they navigate increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.”
The partnership with Goltens provides MFT with a strong platform to expand the adoption of its SEA-Mate technology in some of the world’s busiest maritime centres.
Alexander Malt, MFT Global Sales Director, said: “Collaborating with Goltens, a globally recognised leader in marine engineering solutions, is a big bonus for us. With their extensive market presence and technical expertise, we are confident that Goltens will drive significant growth for SEA-Mate solutions, helping ship operators achieve greater efficiency and sustainability.”
