The first vessel in Wilson’s ECO series, built according to the Conoship CIP3800 design, has been launched at the Udupi Cochin Shipyard in India.
The vessel is set to become fully operational by Q2 2025 and is the first of the ECO series which will consist of six CIP3800 vessels, marking one of Norwegian shipping company Wilson’s biggest fleet expansions in recent years. Dutch designer Conoship is further extending the partnership with Wilson with a new series of the larger CIP6300 vessels, projected to be operational by 2026.
The CIP3800 vessels are designed with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability, in line with Wilson’s commitment to greener shipping solutions. The latest version of the CIP3800 series is designed for customisation to meet clients’ specific shipping needs.
