Swedish company Marinfloc says that its range of wastewater treatment equipment, unlike that of many other companies, is already compliant with upcoming revisions to MEPC 107(49).
The updated regulation enters into force in 2025, something that Marinfloc considers has been overdue for more than 15 years. With many manufacturers of bilge water separators facing the challenge of redesigning their concepts to adapt to a new reality, something that is proving particularly challenging in the case of ships with dual fuels, Marinfloc says its products have been designed with higher standards in mind since 1996.
